Gentle Non-Invasive Treatment
The Systane® iLux2® MGD Thermal Pulsation device can then be used to deliver gentle warming and pressure directly to your eyelids to unblock meibomian glands. Treatment of both eyes only takes approximately 8-12 minutes.
Important Information for Systane® iLux²®
The Systane® iLux²® is used to heat and compress glands in the eyelids of adult patients with a specific type of dry eye, called Meibomian Gland Dysfunction (MGD), also known as evaporative dry eye, and to take digital images and video of the glands in the eyelids.
Potential Side Effects
- Eyelid/eye pain requiring stopping the treatment procedure
- Eyelid/eye irritation or inflammation
- Temporary reddening of the skin
- Other eye symptoms (burning, stinging, tearing, itching, discharge, redness, feeling like there is something in the eye, changes in your vision, sensitivity to light)
